Insurance/Compensation Policy

1. Compensation Policy Included in the Rental Fee

Rental vehicles are covered with the following insurance compensation on condition of seatbelt usage (insurance included in the rental fee).

The compensation policy does not apply, if an accident occurs due to the following types of driving or conditions:

Seatbelts are not fastened while driving;
The accident was not reported to the police from the scene of the accident (the certificate of the accident was not obtained from the police);
The customer arbitrarily settles with the counterparty out of court;
The accident was not reported to our office from the scene of the accident;
The accident occurs after the unauthorized extension of rental hours;
An accident caused by a person other than the driver and the secondary driver indicated in the rental agreement;
Driving under the influence of alcohol;
Driving without a driver's license;
Collision damage caused by theft;
Driving with excess passenger capacity;
Driving on non-roadways, such as beaches, riverbeds or forests (the accident occurs on non-maintained and uncontrolled roads);
Costs of repairs for damage to or corrosion of the body of the rental vehicle, etc. caused by rough use;
Use for various tests or competitions, or use for towing or pushing another car;
Collision damage to the rental vehicle due to an accident with a car, etc. owned, used or maintained by the customer;
Rental vehicles or signboards, etc. are damaged in our office;
Breakdown due to faulty operation;
Damage to the interior of the rental vehicle;
Damage caused by tire chains, ski racks, etc.;
Damage to tires, flat tires or loss of hubcaps;
The rental vehicle is used in violation of the provisions of the rental agreement; and
Accidents that fall under the disclaimer of the insurance policy.

2. Policy That Exempts the Amount Paid by a Customer (Deductible) in the Insurance Compensation (Special Conditions/Deductible Compensation Policy)

By joining this policy, you will be exempt from paying the deductible, even if an accident occurs. (The fee is not included in the rental fee.)

Class E or higher, Class RG or higher, Trucks (2t or more), Double Cabs, Small trucks, Microbuses, and Customized vehicles	2,100 yen (tax included) / 24 hours
Classes other than the above	1,050 yen (tax included) / 24 hours

With respect to the rental agreement for a period of 15 days or more and less than 1 month, the premiums shall be for 15 days, and the coverage shall be effective for the period of the rental agreement.
The loading portion of a small truck shall be covered by the collision coverage, but it is not covered by the deductible compensation policy. (The parts other than the loading portion are covered by the deductible compensation policy.)

The deductible compensation policy does not apply, if an accident occurs due to any of the following serious traffic violations:

The accident occurs due to speeding, and it is proved that the speed exceeded the maximum speed limit;
The accident occurs after crossing the yellow center line in a no-passing lane;
The accident occurs due to a failure to stop at a traffic light;
The accident occurs due to a failure to halt; and
The accident occurs due to the prohibition of right-turns, u-turns, etc.
